It’s a busy time for arts collective Poets, Prattlers, and Pandemonialists as they host two online poetry events over the coming week.

On Sunday 7th, the June edition of their long-running poetry night Yes We Cant (normally held at the Pretty Bricks in Walsall) takes place in their Facebook group from 7.30pm, with headliner Dave Viney contributing from Manchester, while Carol Caffrey celebrates the publication of her new book ‘The Untethered Space’ by taking the ‘Alf Ender slot, and the line-up is completed by a series of open-mic spots.

Next day sees the first in a series of six ‘Stay Up Your Own End’ events, commissioned by Creative Black Country. These will be held in the same Facebook group on successive Monday evenings, and this opening event invites anyone to send in a poem on some aspect of life in Walsall, with a £25 prize for the poem chosen by our judge Heather Wastie on the Monday evening. Contributions should be emailed to poetsprattlerspandemonialists@gmail.com by midday on Sunday 7th. Later events will focus on Dudley, Sandwell, Wolverhampton, and Stourbridge, followed by a grand finale on July 20th.
