Stayed her mid March 2014 on a random night when we met four lads, Craig, Jimbo, Lee and Big Mikey. We went back under the false pretence of free vodka and taxi paid for home. Lee and Big Mikey went to bed in their half of the cabin and we snuggled up with Craig and Jimbo. The beds were very comfortable and and bared weight very well. The room was very clean, despite clothes being on the floor which was hardly the hotel's fault. My friend Hazel said the bathroom was very well kept and the walk in shower was incredibly convenient. When we left at 8am, we got a good view of the course and the 18th hole and the greens were very well trimmed. The service that i was provided was 10 out of 10 and I would happily do it all again. Now off to the chemist...

Myself and 7 work colleagues have just returned from our spring golf outing where we chose for this years event Calderfields Golf Club. The course was in excellent condition, considering the weather over the last few months, with both the greens and fairways dry and running fast on both the Sunday and Monday though, due to heavy overnight rain on Monday night and Tuesday morning, there was standing water on some of the greens for our round on Tuesday. This didn’t detract from the enjoyment though.
The clubhouse facilities were very good with the members friendly and welcoming. The bar prices were surprisingly cheap compared to the average for golf club bars and there were rolls and snacks available if required at reasonable prices.
The log cabins were warm, roomy and not too far from the clubhouse, though a covered walkway would be useful for inclement weather. The showers were good (didn't have any hot water issues), the only issues being the lighting could be brighter and it would help if there was a blind over the small frosted window in the door as the sun was shining through it lighting the whole room in the morning.
The food, a 3 course meal, was superb on both evenings with generous portions that were cooked to perfection and the full English breakfast was one of the best I’ve experienced anywhere, let alone at a golf venue.
The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and were always cheerful and friendly, making sure our every need was catered for.
This is a top venue and one of the best I've attended out of the 12 golf trips I’ve been on over the last 6 years. I would rate this a high 9/10 and it is certainly excellent value for the money. I‘d highly recommend Calderfields to anyone considering booking a golf trip.

Myself and a non golfing friend stayed in the cabins for a two day mid week golfing break. The cabins were finished to a very high standard and the beds extremely comfortable. The cabins were lovely and warm too. The food and service were great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The golf course was in lovely condition and we were blessed with the best two days of the year weather wise which topped off the whole stay. A special thanks to Paul in the pro shop as he gave me a small piece of advice re my grip and it changed my whole game for the better! Thank you!

A group of 8 went here on the 14th April bed breakfast evening meal 2 rounds of golf for just £59 with your golf travel. Did not know what to expect but was certainly not disappointed the accommodation was like log chalets but really modern well done out if a little bit poor with lighting. The food was very good value golf course is coming on a treat a bit grass bare on fairways but most courses are in April. All in all a great time was had, would go back definately

Me and my husband stayed at Calderfields Golf Club for my friends wedding, and what a lovely time we had! I had no idea this little gem was here. The setting is lovely with views over looking the golf course for the ceremony and wedding breakfast. The staff could not be more helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them and all requests were dealt with as soon as they were asked. The breakfast the following morning was lovely, plenty of choices were available. Would recommend it to my friends!

Went to Calderfields in a group of 10 for golf and take that tribute night. On arrival complex had good parking easy access. On entrance the complex was clean and staff were friendly. We all had an amazing time the course was in good condition the accommodation was great value for money a nice little chalet styled room with large bathroom. Couldn't recommend it enough.

I feel I must give a review on the Calderfields hotel and country club, we went on the one night golf break, from getting there to leaving I must say the staff were amazing they couldn't do enough to make our stay one of the best ever !! Food was very good and the cabins were so comfy ! Golf course was in good condition so overall it deserves a five star rating !! We will definitely be going again !

Just got back from a 3 nights break golfing . . the staff are so friendly and help full, ,the log cabins are very clean and tidy, , the food is excellent. . already looking at going back , , booked through your golf travel 150each for 3 nights dinner bed and breakfast . . the course is well looked after . . . no buggies needed as very flat but a little challenging especially if your in the rough. . . well worth a visit. .

14 guys on a golf break. A very warm welcome on arrival on Friday morning and our first chance to try the course very tight but excellently presented making a fair test for all levels of handicaps within the group. After the round the warm welcome was extended by the members in the clubhouse where the beer prices are very competitive. The accommodation located next to the 18th green was fresh clean and very comfortable and enough room to store 2sets of bats and electric trolleys. The food like everything else was presented lovely and very tasty. All the staff had smiles on there faces and made us feel like old friends instead of guests,
If you are thinking of booking this for a golf break do it now you will not be disappointed I certainly am looking forward to returning sooner rather than later

I have had a very good weekend here and would certainly return. My personal preference for a golf course is one with hills so on this occasion I dipped out as it is flat. However with credit to the green keepers it is well maintained with quick and true greens. The bunkers have a good quality sand in them and it almost become a pleasure playing out of them!
The cabins have comfortable beds and with them being located next to the 18th it was quite a novelty to walk off the course and be able to dump your clubs.
On the food front we had a breakfast buffet on the first morning and on the 2nd it was served to our table. In the evening there was a 3 course meal where you are offered 5 choices. The lamb shank was awesome as was the ice cream.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, both staff and local golfers which helped the weekend be enjoyable. Should you wish to do so you can jump in a taxi to Walsall for a fiver but to be fair the lager in the club house was £3.50 which is not unreasonable.
Thanks to all the staff at Calderfield you do a great job with a smile on your face and a special good luck to Melissa, hope next year is a success for you.
