They should be entered into a best pie contest because they'd win hands down, lovely pastry, tastier than tasty, & doubly delicious filling & gravy :-)''' Just the thought of them gets me dribblin' like a babby. Need I say another satisfying meal at the BCA, lovely staff, & great prices.

We are relatively new to our real ales, know what we like but ready to push our boundaries and the bar staff here are more than willing to help and guide.
Beautiful selection of real ales and a couple of ciders too and not to forget the cheese and onion cobs! 😊Lovely garden to the side and rear, menu looks tasty and overall a great pub, lovely feel to a true established pub of Walsall, will definitely return!

This not-so-secret, former Court House (and formerly Green Dragon)opposite ASDA,. is a real-ale gem of-a-pub but with great grub as well. In Walsall, a short steep uphill walk through "market area" is rewarded with a large, welcoming and friendly environment. Smiley and helpful staff serve a great range of ales, which you can sample before choosing. Whether you are alone or in a group, it is such a comfortable place to be, with lots of hidy-holes and spaces upstairs from which to choose..There's also an pretty little drinking/eating area outside
Monday,in fact, anyday B.C.A. makes a super meeting place.
My own fave food is a must try taste- called" BLACK PUDDING AND POTATO thingy on a bed of lettuce with an egg smiling on top.".....but you will discover your own !!

Wow, this is a great pub for the real ale fan, or just somewhere nice, clean and respectable for a quality couple of hours.
Been here on numerous occasions the last being Saturday night, where I counted 22 beers all on pull.Sometimes in these real ale places it's frowned upon when you order a carling, or half a coke, but not here. Everyman to himself, with a really wide mix of people.
Sat night had a great relaxed atmosphere with some live music, nothing to loud but loud enough, if you know what I mean,Lots of dark, lights, pale ales, Belgium and German bottles to choose from.
Bar snacks, at last a pub with a full compliment of snacks, crisps, pork pies, scratching a, pickled eggs and gherkins. Also at last 2 nice happy, enthusiastic barmen, credit to themselves and the pub. They actually looked happy and interested in serving the waiting customers.
I'm seriously considering changing this to my local, now that Asda don't charge for parking lolWill want to try the food soon, see if it's as good as the beer,
Well done guys, keep it up

We didn't eat here, apart from the ham salad rolls which ere excellent!, but the selection of ales was superb. Great service from the bar staff, along with a really good understanding of the beers on offer. Evening entertainment was "Dave Jackson Blues Band" who were fantastic. Highly recommend.

I took my team here for an evening meal. We'd hoped to eat here but food wasn't being served at 7pm when we arrived. Perhaps it's more of a lunchtime place. The range of beers was excellent, with over 12 hand pumped bitters and a couple of good lagers but the room wasn't particularly friendly and the clientele there on the night we went was a bit "unreconstructed", frankly there was a bit of an atmosphere and we only stayed for a couple of pints before going elsewhere. It was a shame as the range of beers was very interesting indeed and perhaps on another evening we could have made a session of it.

for me, seeing as it was my third visit. This time I had the Chilli Con Carne, chips, & garlic bread, SLURP :-)''' as usual. Mr DeuceWooo had fish & chips, but he wasn't keen, he missed his BCA pie that he usually has. Again 2 meals & 2 drinks for under £20, you really can't go wrong here people. I've already chosen my meal for next time, & I can't wait to get back & try that pie of Roy's!

My monthly visits to this great place never fails. Beautiful range of 16 ales every day, well managed bar owned & run by Kim. Great food, now being served all day. Fish Pie, Liver, onions & mash, Scampi all delicious. Brilliant Quiz every 3rd Thursday of the month run by excellent brothers Jimm & Michael at 8pm. Please do come to see what I rate as probably the best pub in Walsall.
