As booked through ygt as a golf break, staff lovely and helpful and polite, on other hand golf course greens need more attention poor condition people need to look after the greens repair pitch marks golf lodges very nice but when decided would like a evening meal everything was closed by 7pm bit inconvenient so had to go out as for breakfast OK but no beans in the kitchen to cater for 2 people not good.

A great carvery as usual. A pleasant and comfortable environment, friendly staff, a choice of 3 quality roasts and a great selection of vegetables and condiments. Still the best value carvery locally. We will return again very soon.

We had a lovely time here. We had a drink in the bar after I popped in the gym and my wife had a beauty treatment in the salon. Overall very pleasant. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Its so quiet at night we couldn’t hear anything. Will be returning in the summer.

We were a four ball and really enjoyed the mid-week break. The accommodation in the cabin was small but perfectly formed. Clean and new with superb shower room. The reception staff were friendly and they recovered from over-booking our buggy. The course was superb with very fast and tricky greens. For £59 (plus buggies at £20 each) it is a real bargain and I would have no complaints paying twice that price.

My son and I have just returned from an excellent trip to the Calderfields Golf and Country Club. We booked through Yourgolftravel and got a great deal. Dinner, bed and breakfast plus two rounds of golf for under £100 for the two of us! - Thanks Tom Francis at Yourgolftravel.
The club has a beautifully kept course with very receptive, lightening quick greens and quite narrow fairways making it a good test for all standards of golfer. However if you do stray off line its generally easy to find your ball. The course is very flat making it easy for all ages and fitness levels.
We were both made most welcome and were well looked after by Rijan in the restaurant and Abbey in the bar. The food is excellent. It is all very hot and comes in quantity. The rooms are small log cabins with good views over the 18th green and fairway. This venue is highly recommended.

Went on a golf trip for the second time to Calderfields with a few mates at the start of July. Last visited in 2017 and the golf course hasn’t changed much. What I found most disappointing was the condition of the greens. It didn’t look like much work had gone into them. The course itself isn’t bad for society golf as the rough is generous and the fairways are really nice. With the boom since Covid, the 10 minute tee times aren’t great as there are alot of beginner golfers out on the course and the intervals really slow the rounds down with a back log on the fairways.

The biggest positive are the staff and how friendly they are around the facility. They are great and can’t do more for you.

Having been twice now, I would recommend a trip where you’re not just going for golf because if I’m honest, it’s not that exciting considering the volume of groups out on course, you’d expect a better standard. Brilliant if it’s a weekend away with your pals and you want friendly, happy environment

Stayed for 2 nights in the cabins end of july on a friends golfing weekend.

The cabins are basic with 2 single beds, TV and a kettle but perfectly fine for somewhere to get your head down.

The restaurant and its staff were great, breakfast and evening meal were included in our deal and none of the group of 8 I was with had any complaints on the food nor the service.

The course itself was in a very good condition, with only a couple of the greens being patchy due to the amount of hot weather we've had no doubt, the tees were good. The course is a bit tight and favours straight hitting, with some feature holes over water. It was the first time we'd played here and everyone said they would like to go back so take that as a good endorsement.

Plenty of facilities with buggies, driving range, putting and chipping greens and pro shop on site.

Would definitely recommend
