Just spent this last weekend here for my dads 60th and to watch the Ryder Cup.
12 Guys had a fabulous time playing golf and looked after by the staff at Calderfields.
Staff very pleasant.
Food Excellent (Breakfast and Dinner).
Golf Course Testing for all golfers.
Accommodation fantastic, exactly what you need for a golfing weekend.
Coors Light on draft went down very well with the lads.
All in all, a very enjoyable weekend!
Highly recommended for any golfing party looking for excellent food, accommodation and golf course.

Could not disagree more with the previous review!!! We were also on a 3 night break (party of 10) at Calderfields last weekend. Venue was ideal, rooms fantastic and course of a good standard for this time of year. We were made aware at the time of booking that Sky Sports was not available which was fair enough, I am aware of many golf clubs which do not have Sky Sports, my home club included. Staff extremely helpful and accommodating, will certainly be returning and would always recommend. Great value for money.

What a great place to play golf and relax. we stayed in one of the log cabins which were spotlessly clean and comfortable and had great views over the golf course. The staff were especially helpful and catered for all our needs not only for golf but all round accommodation. The food was brilliant especially the breakfast which really sets you up for the day. All in all a great 3 days in great company and ideal accommodation for golf, would highly recommend this venue to any golfers.

What a pleasant place to play golf. All the staff were great. Food was great - plenty of it and very nice too. Accommodation was great. The Golf course was well maintained all our party enjoyed our stay and will be back next year.

In March this year I took a party of 30+ golfers from the Northwest for a 2 day golf break.
From the moment we arrived the staff took care of our every need, from the bacon rolls, breakfasts and all the random requirements of such a diverse group.
The weather at that time had been rather wet around the country and we were a little apprehensive about what to expect. There was however no need to worry as the greens staff had done a brilliant job preparing the course.
The accommodation was very comfortable and exactly as advertised on the website. All the food presented and enjoyed was of a very high standard and I don't recall any complaints being made.
At the end of the weekend it was an easy call to agree to re-book for 2015, which we did, and will be returning in March next year. What's not to like?

If you like carvery then this is definitely the place to go. We had a great Sunday lunch, the beef was up their with the best. Service was very good and the place was spotless. All the family commented

My husband held his works Christmas party here when the venue had a Vegas Night.
21 of us enjoyed a lovely Christmas menu, then we had a lot of fun on the roulette and black jack tables. The disco was great and the whole atmosphere was relaxed and fun.
Several couples chose to stay in the cabins and we weren't disappointed. The rooms were lovely and clean, huge bed and a fantastic shower. Breakfast was also great, couldn't be faulted at all.
We hope to use the venue and facilities again next year, definately NO complaints.

We had a great night here for our annual friends Xmas party.
Good food, friendly service, a good DJ and plenty of staff to help the evening go along well.
There was advertised some good looking event nights coming up through next year and will definitely go back for some.
We have now booked for breakfast with Santa and our Grandkids on Xmas eve so I hope the food is as good.
Well recommended anyway.

A very pleasant surprise ,for the money asked,a lovely course,comfortable log cabins on the course and a lovely club house and very nice restaurant, the staff and members we encountered were very welcoming and friendly, so all in all ,a great weekend, for a cost you'd find hard to beat

Stayed in April and Sept had great time.golf good food fantastic.the lodges we stayed in again was fantastic rearly modern good size tv on the wall and the bathroom is very up to date with a massive shower.
