If you like your pubs traditional with a really nice social atmosphere, then this place will appeal, there is a huge selection of real ales that seem really well kept, the service is excellent and all in all it is a really nice place to pop out for a few pints of top notch beer, I look forward to going again!

This latest visit was the same as the others, a delight ! The pub as a warm feeling that hits you as soon as you walk in, the menu is simple pub food all cooked in their kitchen and not factory food, the choice is good and we have not been disappointed. The selection of fine ales is beyond belief and the staff very friendly and helpful, a true English pub of a by gone age.

17 real ales, a couple of lagers (if you must), craft ciders also. Also sell wine (but not a lot) Very reasonable home made food (restricted but excellent) - the best pork pies in Christiandom

Had a great time here over the weekend, really friendly place with lovely food ( try the faggots !), good selection of hand pull beers and loads of interesting bottles in the fridge, I'm working in Walsall for the next few months so I'm going to be a regular. Cheers !.

I popped along with a couple of friends for a pint and the choice we had here was impressive, a large choice off real ale and cider. Food looked good but we didn't stay to eat

This pub gave me the best pint of ale I have had in my life enjoyed whilst playing board games with my mentor. We need to keep great British pubs like this one open for the next generation. If I drink in Walsall from now on this is where ye shall find me.

As we're members of camra we visit this pub regularly, the amount and quality of ales on sales is superb. But dont worry if your not an ale fan, the selection of other drinks is also huge.
We have eaten here several times and all i can say is the food is amazing, fantastic choice of black country classics such as faggots and peas and black pudding, but if thats not your taste, then there is a good choice of freshly prepared pub food such as fish and chips, lasagne and the pies are to die for!Absolutely love it, wished i could walk to it from home, but then we'd probably be there everyday

Friday 14th July 17, My husband and I went out for a drink and a meal with my godson Kevin who lives in Walsall.
We parked the car and then My husband, Kevin and I walked down into Walsall town centre to go to ‘The Black Country Arms’, a city centre real ale pub.
The Black Country Arms is situated in a Georgian building was be-decked with flower baskets, which gave it a welcoming feel. The pub is situated over three floors with tables for dining and a wonderful real ale bar with over 40 types of real ales and ciders.
We all found a table and we looked at the menu, we then went to look at the bar, the range of ales was impressive and as I am not an ale drinker, I asked about flat ciders, and they had an impressive array.
We were served by Carla, who was a lovely bright and cheerful young lady, who took our food and drinks order.
The food when it arrived was piping hot, well presented and a HUGE portion. My husband had the Black Country faggots and peas served with creamy mash and rich gravy. My husband washed this down with two pints of ‘Pig On The Wall’ ale. I had the Black Country fish, chips and mushy peas (Whale and Chips) and I washed this lovely food down with two pints of ‘Furry Ferret’ apricot cider, which was so smooth and crisp and had a lovely taste.
Kevin did not have a meal, as he had eaten earlier before we came. Kevin had three pints of ‘BFG’ bitter. We spent over three hours talking and chatting and catching up on new and gossip.
If you want a good down to earth pub with friendly staff, good food and excellent bitters, ales and ciders then this is the place to be.
