I tried the Romanian papanasi at Shaworma House and I was pleasantly surprised! They were fresh, fluffy, and perfectly fried – golden on the outside and soft inside, just like the traditional ones.
The presentation was beautiful, with the warm blueberry sauce generously poured over them and plenty of creamy sour cream on the side. The little fried dough ball on top was a nice authentic touch. It felt like a proper Romanian dessert!
The portion was generous and the flavors were spot on – not too sweet, with the perfect balance between the warm jam and the cold cream. Definitely one of the best papanasi I’ve had outside Romania.
Will definitely come back for more! Highly recommended if you want to try a real Romanian treat. 👍🍒”

What a fantastic experience I’ve had with Paul at Eternal Make Up, from start to finish. When I first enquired, I was quite apprehensive as I’d never even had my eyebrows tinted before. Paul got back to me within minutes and suggested a call. After chatting, he asked for photos of my brows and created a drawing to show what he’d recommend and what I could expect, which really put me at ease.
Both the initial appointment and the follow-up were brilliant. Paul took so much time and care to understand exactly what I wanted, remembered our previous discussions, and made sure I was completely happy with the shape making adjustments along the way with great patience.
Now, after my follow up appointment, I am absolutely over the moon with my new brows. I couldn’t recommend Paul more, he’s incredibly talented and clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. Thank you, Paul!!

I don't say this lightly: the West Midlands Fish Van served me one of the most memorable meals I've had in a long time, and I think about it often.
We booked them for a private event, and the staff were warm, accommodating, and genuinely lovely from start to finish - the kind of team that makes you feel like you're in good hands before the food even arrives.
Now, the food. As I have a gluten allergy, their gluten-free fish and chips were EXCEPTIONAL. Properly crispy batter, fresh fish, the real deal - absolutely no compromise on quality. And then there was the GF halloumi. I still think about that halloumi!! *sigh*
One important thing to flag: you do need to request the gluten-free options in advance. Plan ahead, because you'd be gutted to miss out. The team made it completely seamless once we'd flagged it ahead of time.
If you're looking for a fish van for an event and want genuinely incredible regular or GF fish and chips options, this is the one.
Five stars, no question.
