Excellent place to train BJJ. Me and my sons train here. The instructors are very good and welcoming. Coach Dave is always looking to improve the facilities to provide the best training area for his members.

I highly recommend Sakura academy. The coach is fantastic—knowledgeable, supportive, and always fostering a positive attitude. The location is convenient, and the class schedule is flexible with plenty of options. The atmosphere is welcoming and motivating, making it a great place for my son to learn and grow. It's an excellent way to introduce kids to health and fitness at a young age. My son really enjoys every session and is always excited to go back.

My son joined this club just over a year ago. He had zero experience and I really worried about how he would handle it. I was soon put at ease after watching him train a couple of times.
The way Dave trains students reflects back in how they perform, they all have so much respect for one another, they are tough, resilient but most importantly all smiling at the end of a session.
Always great vibes and a friendly atmosphere, I highly recommend for anyone looking to get into Brazilian ju jitsu. 🌸

I completed the 12 weeks beginners course which was run over 3 sessions a week with a nice gradual introduction into BJJ, how to be safe and respectful when rolling, with a variety of instructors throughout.

I would highly recommend the beginners course for anyone who is thinking about starting the sport and the adult classes are also very well run, with knowledgeable instructors and other members are respectful to your current ability level.

I signed up to Sakura’s beginning classes & I have loved the classes ever since.
I have since signed up full time.

I have been welcomed since the start and definitely feel it’s a place to expand on your skill set or learn as a beginner.

David our coach has such vast knowledge in BBJ and he explains and breaks down everything as you go.

If you’re starting fresh or as an intermediate I would definitely recommend.

Very good gym if you want to start out at BJJ. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming, the beginners programme is excellent too as you are not thrown into the deep end against experienced people. Highly recommended

I can’t hype Sakura enough!

All the coaches are super experienced. David, Kuba, Tommy and Joe are honestly so supportive and encouraging. Noteworthy mention to Dobo for always volunteering to be the punchbag for us to observe! The general atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming to people of all sizes.

After completing the 12 week beginners program, I’ve just earned my first stripe, have shed a few extra pounds and made some new friends, all whilst have the time of my life rolling with others.

I’ve learned so much and gained so much confidence.

If you’re looking for somewhere to send yourself or your kids to pick up a new skill and have loads of fun, don’t go anywhere else.

My 6-year-old has been attending Sakura for the past 7 months, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. The coaches are patient, encouraging, and truly know how to connect with kids. They balance discipline with fun in a way that keeps my child excited to go to every class.

In just half a year, I’ve seen a huge improvement in my child’s confidence, focus, and respect for others. It’s more than just learning jiu-jitsu techniques—they’re building life skills, friendships, and healthy habits that will last a long time.

The atmosphere is welcoming, the facility is clean and well-run, and the community feels like a family. I highly recommend Sakura to any parent looking for a safe, positive, and motivating environment for their child. We couldn’t be happier!

What started off as my son’s jujitsu academy has turned into a full family thing now my husband and I train here too! I’ve seen such a big change in my little boy — he’s getting stronger and more confident every week.

The atmosphere at Sakura Grappling is amazing, so welcoming, full of energy, and it truly feels like one big family. The coaches are brilliant, especially with the younger ones, always patient, encouraging, and full of enthusiasm. Dave has built something really special here; it’s more than just a gym, it’s a real community. My youngest can’t wait to join his big brother on the mats!

I’d highly recommend Sakura Grappling — it’s such an incredible place that brings joy to both kids and adults, and there’s so much exciting stuff happening. We’re so proud to be part of it! 🌸
