If you are looking for ‘an experience’ for afternoon tea you wouldn’t find a better place then this. Warm and cosy with lots of 1940s memrobelia to look at, the friendly waitresses that are dressed in 1940s outfits and the background music enhance the experience. A large selection of fresh sandwiches and scrumptious scones are perfect.

Great service from lovely ladies, dressed to match the forties decor. Lovely, quality food at a very reasonable price. First visit, won't be our last. Stired up lots of memories and lovely to reminisce with mom about childhood times.

My Mom and I visited Pigeon’s Parlour on a Saturday afternoon after hearing so much about it through word of mouth. We turned up around 2pm on a Saturday without booking and there were 2 large parties in there along with a few couples on other tables. We asked if there was a table and there was one spare which we gladly took. We ordered a coffee each and a scone with jam and cream. The atmosphere was lovely, nostalgic and cosy. There was so much to look at and talk about. Along with the lovely 40s swing music it was a lovely afternoon and a place we have recommended to our family and friends and plan to come back for our family of girls afternoon tea later on in the year.

In trying to find a way to make my Dad's 'lockdown' 60th birthday as special as it should be, I decided to order an Afternoon Tea treat for him & my Mum to enjoy together on the day.

I have not been to Pigeon Parlour myself before but my Mum has (which she thoroughly enjoyed, I must add!) and she had heard that they were currently offering a takeaway/delivery service.

I contacted Pigeon Parlour via their Facebook page to enquire and asked for a callback the next day after 4pm. They acknowledged my message soon after and I received a prompt call just after 4pm the following day to place my order.

They kindly talked me through a selection of different sandwich fillings, etc. to suit my Mum & Dad's preferences, took payment over the phone & even made the surprise delivery, free of charge, directly to my Dad on his birthday (as they are so local).

The surprise treat was very well-received, arriving exactly on time & beautifully presented with ribbons and a personalised birthday message. Dad especially loved his '60' shaped sandwiches & complementary candle for him to blow out :-) It is safe to say that it all went down a treat!

Thank you for helping to make my Dad's 'big' birthday still feel like a special day, given the current circumstances. I, for one, will certainly be paying a visit to the parlour as soon as you are allowed to open!

Ordered afternoon tea for my birthday. Service was excellent. But the afternoon tea platter was out of this world. Lots of choice excellent value for money. Have already recommended you to my friend. Will definitely be ordering again.

Took my 86-year-old mom she loved it. What a fantastic place. Its 1 40s themed tearoom. The service was great, and the food is different. Spam or Jam sandwiches. Amazing

Such a fantastic place! You walk through the door and you step back in time. The staff are knowledgeable, efficient, polite and dressed to match the 1940’s decor. The menu is fantastic too old and new well done on your new venture

what a lovely place, myself and my mother in Law went here this morning for a cuppa and a catch up. she had heard about it at work and wanted to give it a go and I'm so glad we did. What a lovely small independent cafe this is. we didn't have lunch but we had a tea and A scone (which I must say wasn't great - just a microwaved, which made it chewy in your mouth, scone from Asda over the road and was a very small scone) but the afternoon tea looked lovely and the atmosphere was great. The lady was dressed in the matching decor for inside the cafe which was really cool and I would visit again to try the afternoon tea.
