The funding will allow Fibbersley Local Nature Reserve to undergo essential improvements including clearing vegetation, upgrading path works and enhancing the pond.
Furthermore, the entrance will display a new notice board, ladderboard sign and a remarkable sculpture. To promote inclusivity and accessibility, there will be the introduction of two disabled-friendly entrance gates.
In addition to the Veolia grant, a further £2,059 has been awarded from the Tree Council's Branching Out Fund. This will be used to plant trees and hedgerows around the site to enhance the aesthetic appeal and ecological value.
