Braid Candy, the creative braiding service, will be at one of south London’s best shopping malls, Southside, for two fun-filled weeks (21 December 2024 – 5th January 2025), offering braids like no other. Think bright, eye-catching styles that will no doubt grab lots of attention, all with a festive twist.
Set up by entrepreneur Beverly Coleman, the idea of Braid Candy came about to solve a couple of pain-points: a braiding service for those who can’t braid or simply don’t have the time to and a safe space/environment for both children and their families to get their hair done. In addition, the Braid Candy offers youngsters, concert and festival goers, and anyone who loves colourful hair an unforgettable experience.
The Braid Candy Team are skilled in creating awesome braided styles, from Dutch braids to dragon braids, with knowledge and professionalism. They are on hand to make suggestions based on hair type/texture, and assist the undecided on what hair extension colours and charms would best suit their new hair-do.
How does it work? Customers choose their desired style, and have the option to add colour and charms. Styles take from 25 – 60 minutes to create. And as its Christmas, the brand is prepped with festive coloured extensions and Christmassy charms to ensure customers fully get into the Christmas spirit.
Don’t have time to stop? Customers can purchase reusable tie-in ponytails, and hair accessories such as bows and charms, that can be enjoyed at home and on holiday.
Braid Candy styles range from £25 with products such as hair charms starting as low as 60p. Customers can find the pop-up braid bar on the ground floor of Southside, next to Waitrose and the big beautiful snow globe. Pre-booking is via the Braid Candy booking site that will be available through the brand’s Instagram page @braidcandyuk. Walk-ins accepted.
