If putting a stop to loneliness is something you care about, why not join the social movement that is Compassionate Neighbours?
Royal Trinity Hospice are on the look out for people living in Earlsfield and the surrounding areas to sign-up for their summer training sessions, helping to create a capital where new friendships flourish and people feel part of their community again.
Becoming a compassionate neighbour is about volunteering your time and company to a fellow Londoner living near to you who has found themselves on their own, through old age or illness.
People who are naturally empathetic, a good listener, and who live in or around Earlsfield are encouraged to apply to the July training sessions. People will need to attend three sessions (a mix of online and in-person) with the first taking place Tuesday 9July.
If you do not live near Earlsfield, but would like to get involved, there will be future training sessions available.
