Here at The Best of Warrington we love to support and shout about the best recommended local businesses....as you all know.
So August was a great month as we set about discovering The Best Young Business for 2011. The best new business, trading for less than 2 years, that was really blazing a trail in their new venture.
These are people, partners, groups and friends who have dripped their toes into the challenging world of self employment! Took the challlenge and risk to show their entrepreneurial spirit. No mean feat in these tough economical times.
We had 8 fantastic businesses nominated and battling for votes - Egertons Estates, Little Basket Shop, Spire HR, Wireweb, The Gallery at Bank Quay House, Power Hour Training, The Design Project & TRY Fitness Training
As we approached the final days of voting, it was clear there was 2 businesses really battling in out and leading the way for the honour and the award. Little Basket Shop & The Design Project. The friendliest, most hard fought battle...ever!
The voting went down to the last day of the month. The last hour of the final day and probably the last minute of the final hour but we had turned in for bed by then!
After we had wiped the blood and sweat from the computer and added up the votes, they were seperated by just 9 votes! 9 votes after a whole month of hounding everyone they knew and probably didn't know!
In the end the winner was....The Design Project (as you've probably gathered from the big logo below...)
The big bunch full of congrats to Nikki & Geoff at The Design Project and a parcel full of hard luck to Natasha at The Little Basket Shop.
A great award for a great business....Pop over to their feature and have a look for yourself why they won and read their great testimonials.
Look out for the Customer Service Award 2011 running in September. A lucky 13 fantastic local businesses have been nominated.
Vote for your favourite here. They need votes from YOU! And YOU & YOU & YOU.....
