Q Hotels The Park Royal in the starting line up for the Spire Healthcare English Half Marathon.

Q Hotels have been announced as the official partner hotel for the Spire Healthcare English Half Marathon.

The organisers of the Spire Healthcare English Half Marathon are pleased to announce that Q Hotels will become the title sponsor of the newly launched Corporate Challenge and hotel partner to the race that takes place in Warrington on the 18th September. 

The Park Royal, Stretton, Warrington will be home to many activities introduced for the corporate package runners including a pre-race pasta party and post race event.

This year’s corporate package includes 4 runners to run the race, t shirts for each runner with their company logo on, invites to pre and post events at the Park Royal Hotel, Warrington, goodie bags, great discounts with other sponsors and great marketing opportunities for the companies involved.

The race is open to all abilities, first time runners, charity and elite runners and this year’s corporate runners can take part in the Q Hotels Corporate Challenge. 

Within the package the runners can run as a relay team. The corporate challenge is a great way for companies to raise money for charity and promote healthier lifestyles to employees.

The partnership has also inspired the General Manager of the Park Royal to don his running shoes and take part.

This is a great event for both Warrington and for all the charities who benefit from the fundraising efforts of the participants. In the last two years alone over £300,000 has been raised for hundreds of charities and I hope that once again businesses around Warrington will rise to the challenge and enter their teams into the race.  It is a great opportunity to use fitness as a team building incentive and at the same time raise much needed funds for many deserving causes. The QHotels charity of choice for 2011 is Asthma UK so I have decided to bite the bullet and have signed up to be part of The Park Royal Team and hopefully complete my first ever half marathon – now I guess I need to get down the gym and start training!”
