Last year's Diwali event was a huge success and 2015's offering is set to be even more magical.
Taking place from 12pm until 5pm on Sunday October 25th, Diwali on the Parade is free to attend and is linked with vibrant dance celebration, Diwali at the Palace, which is being shown at Watford Palace Theatre.
In the afternoon, there is a wide array of workshops, as well as dance and musical performances. You can try mehndi and gopi dot painting, try making a floating lantern, and wander around the Diwali craft and food market.
As the sun sets and darkness falls, the Festival of Light procession will lead everyone down to the pond – everyone is able to join in the celebration with tea lights and lanterns. And there the event will climax, with a flame and pyrotechnics display set to classic Indian music.
Diwali on the Parade is part of the Watford Big Events series. More information can be found by clicking here.
