Watford businesses enjoyed a boost in trade from the FA Cup final!
Wembley stadium hosted the 130th FA Cup final on Saturday, between Manchester City and Stoke City.
Businesses in Watford hugely benefit from the influx of fans brought in by a Wembley showcase and this occasion was no different.
Hundreds of fans travelled down on Friday ahead of the big game, leaving most of Watford's hotels fully booked and the town's numerous restaurants, pubs and clubs enjoying a huge rise in trade.
Duty manager at Colombia Press, Nick Robinson said 'The football crowd normally brings in double what we would take usually.'
And for supporters travelling down the M1 from Stoke and Manchester in time for the kick off at 3pm on Saturday, Watford Junction service station was their last chance to stop off before Wembley.
A goal from Toure in the second half won Manchester City the title, ending their 35 year trophy drought. The final score was Manchester City 1 - 0 Stoke City.
