As everyone knows, it is a difficult time for everyone looking for a new job, not least those who are in the age bracket of 18-24. However, there are people in Watford trying to change that and create opportunities for young people looking for work.
A fair held in Watford last month to tackle youth unemployment in the town has resulted in 50 jobs being filled.
MP Richard Harrington set up the inaugural Watford Jobs Fair because of his growing concern of youth unemployment in the town, and invited potential employers and employees to meet at an event in Watford Town Centre at the end of last month.
Hundreds of candidates filled the Langley Banqueting Suites to seek employment and brush up their CVs.
