A packed programme of fun and family-friendly summer holiday activities is being hosted by Watford Borough Council in Cassiobury Park throughout August.

Every Tuesday morning from 10.30-11.30am, it’s Crafty History Time at the Cassiobury Park Hub. You’ll get to make something cool and find out fascinating facts about the history of Cassiobury, which was once home to the Earls of Essex. The cost is just £1 per child – all ages welcome.

The Whippendell Wood playdays – part of the free Wat’s On programme of activities for five to 15-year-olds – happen every Tuesday from 2-4pm until 22 August. Meet at the Grove Mill Lane car park to embark on this adventure in the forest.

There are Wild Wednesday Walks throughout August from 10.30am, starting at the Cassiobury Park Hub. You’ll get to investigate nature and make something amazing to take home with you. The cost is just £1 per child. All ages are welcome, but please don’t bring dogs.

There’s a Story Time Adventure from 10.30am every Thursday in August. This event starts at the Cassiobury Park Hub before heading off to a secret story den, where a tale will be told. All ages are welcome, but please don’t bring dogs. The cost is just £1 per child.

Finally, you can enjoy fishing tuition from the friendly experts of Watford Piscators at our Try Angling events between 1pm and 4pm on Thursday 17 August. The cost is £2 per child, and you can book your slot on the day but you must be aged five or older.
