Are you interested in helping to protect and enhance the town's biodiversity?

The parks and open spaces in Watford are home to a wide variety of wildlife and Watford Borough Council is working to support and encourage the species who live in them.

They need YOU to come along and help. You don't need any previous experience, as there will be an expert leader on the day and tools are provided. You are welcome to come along for just an hour or the entire session. Children must be accompanied by an adult and you are advised to wear old clothes and stout shoes.

There are 6 events, 5 of which are on a Saturday (11 June, 18 June, 25 June) and one on Tuesday 21 June. There is a variety of work that needs doing, ranging from a woodland tidy up to clearing Himalayan balsam from the river Colne.

Come along with the family and have some exercise in the fresh air while you do something worthwhile. Your children will also learn about the wildlife that surrounds them in Watford.

For more information contact Watford Borough Council Tel: 01923 278333 (Please call from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
