Local business owners Abby Dennis and Cathy Ballard handed over a cheque for £200 this week to Watford Community Association's Baby & Toddler Group. The money was raised in less than two weeks using Peel2Save, a handy credit card sized booklet that carries 64 individual peel-off offers, each one promoting a range of Watford business from high street shops and restaurants to local cafes and leisure facilities.

Abby and Cathy are the driving force behind the new Peel2Save fund raising initiative in Watford. Set up to support good causes, the Peel2Save cards are being distributed for sale by local charities, sports clubs, school PTAs, youth and community groups. The Peel2Save team work closely with the good causes and charities to advise on simple but effective ways to sell the cards and raise money quickly  - 50% of the revenue from the cards, which are being sold at £10 each, goes directly to them and in total the current offers on the cards are worth over £300 the consumer. Abby says "There are no costs incurred by the charity or good cause selling the cards and because they offer such good value everybody wins - the consumer wins by accessing the business offers, the participating local business wins from the promotion they are getting through the cards and of course it's a great way to raise money for local charities and good causes"

Receiving the cheque for £200 on behalf of the Baby & Toddler Group Terri Reed explained that this popular group is used by 37 local families from a wide variety of backgrounds. "The toys get really well used at our busy sessions on Wednesday and Friday mornings and this generous donation will help us buy new toys and replace some of the worn out ones."
