Watford & Three Rivers Trust will be holding a Volunteers Fair at West Herts College (Watford Campus) on Wednesday and are encouraging anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer to come along.
Over twenty charities, community and voluntary groups will be joining W3RT at the fair to showcase a handful of the organisations and groups in Watford & Three Rivers that are currently recruiting for volunteers.
The event is part of Volunteers Week, a national campaign which is celebrating its 30th anniversary and takes place between the 1-7 June 2014, to recognise and thank the millions of volunteers across the UK.
Volunteers are the life blood of all charities, community and voluntary groups, without them, they would not be able to survive. In Watford & Three Rivers alone there are over 750 charities, community and voluntary groups. It’s important that we, not only celebrate volunteers and the amazing help and support they give to them, but continue to promote all of the fantastic volunteering opportunities there are.
W3RT would like to encourage anyone thinking about giving their time to volunteering, to come down to the Volunteers Fair, which will give you an opportunity to explore lots of different options from local sports teams who need help to supporting a victim of crime.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free event on Wednesday 4 June 2014 between 10am and 5pm at Watford Campus, West Herts College on Hempstead Road, Watford.
The public can also register their interest in volunteering and search current volunteering opportunities in Watford and Three Rivers at www.w3rt.org
