Watford families are being invited to come and watch the game on Saturday 18 May on the giant screen at the outdoor Atrium at the shopping centre. The outdoor setting will create all the atmosphere and fun you could wish for, in what could be one of the biggest games in Watford FC’s history!
Not only will shoppers be able to soak up every moment as Troy Deeney leads his team out onto the Wembley turf, but they can also enjoy entertainment before the match and at half-time too. Football freestyler Billy Fincham will be in the intu Watford Atrium from 3pm, teaching footy-mad kids and adults his favourite tricks and letting them have a go for themselves.
“The whole town is behind Watford FC, they have done amazingly well to get this far,” said intu Watford’s general manager, Vicki Costello. She adds: “This is a great chance to come into the centre with the family, enjoy the build up to the game and cheer on our team to victory. Good luck Watford FC.”
So, if you’re looking for a family-friendly venue with lots of smiles, laughter and cheering during Watford FC’s biggest game of the season, then look no further than intu Watford.
It’s the first sporting event to be shown in the Atrium, but there’s an exciting line-up of sports screenings planned for summer, kicking off with Wimbledon. Watch this space for more information!
