Bucking the national trend, Liberal Democrats have retained their lead in Watford.
Council elections in Watford on Thursday 5th May resulted in the Liberal Democrats retaining their power as the strongest party in the Town.
Labour enjoyed the highest gains, winning an extra two seats, taking them to six, whilst the Conservatives were the losers on the night, losing one of their three seats.
The seats that changed hands were Vicarage, where Labour won the seat from the Liberal Democrats and Leggatts, where Labour took the seat from the Conservatives.
The council chamber is now made up of 25 Liberal Democrats, 6 Labour, 3 Green, 2 Conservative and 1 Independent.
