The Federation of Small Businesses has joined the debate over the Digital Economy Bill that is due to be discussed in the Lords next week.
The Bill follows a survey of over 1300 small companies, which showed that almost a quarter of them were being failed by their current broadband service.
Six in ten of the businesses polled outlined that they were unhappy with the speed and reliability of their service and that it was having an adverse affect on their business.
The FSB is concerned that small businesses are missing the opportunity to seize the important online consumer base as a result of poor internet service within regional areas. They are urging the govenment to ensure that the needs of small businesses, such as those in Watford, are kept at the forefront of the debate and recieve the service they are paying for.
Further information can be found at the FSB website.
