This summer welcomes a big expansion of the Getting Together service. Not only are we introducing a brand new regular Getting Together Club in Croxley Green, but facilitating our members and non-members alike to expand their horizons and rekindle personal passions. This comes in the form of our special interest groups.
We are starting with six of these groups, which will run throughout the week, as well as, not in place of, our regular weekly clubs. We have got together with members and created a set of tailor made groups.:
Cooking Together: for those experienced or compete novices in the culinary arts – expert support for members to prepare and cook delicious traditional and international dishes.
Arts & Crafts Together: a planned and supported programme of art and craft projects, combined with trips to museums and craft fairs to expand on our creativity. As with our recent bird box project, if we see an opportunity to use this creativity to help others in Watford and Three Rivers, we shall seize it!
Games Together: the possibilities really are endless with this one, dominos, cards, draughts, bingo, quizzes, and any personal favourites you would love to introduce to the rest of the group. Naturally there will be competitions…and prizes!
Guys Together: geared around guys but not exclusively for guys. If you are interested in cars and bike appreciation, sports and the sharing of personal projects, this is the place for you, no matter who you are!
Singing Together: love belting out a tune? Are golden oldies your flavour? Or are modern classics more your thing? Whatever your taste it can be catered to at Singing Together. Your level of experience doesn’t matter a jot, there’s no judgement here! Look out for some special local performances too.
Movies Together: enjoying, appreciating and discussing the joys of the big screen. Regular film showings, old and new, and visits to local film studios and locations of your favourite movie scenes.
As you can see, we’ve pulled out the stops for these groups. Whether you are a regular member or not yet, you are welcome to these groups. Spark up a previous passion or discover something new. It’s entirely your choice. Give it a go! Charges may apply.
