The Festival week has around 70 different events including a Street Market, Family Fun Day, The Welwyn Oscars recognising local achievements, Open Gardens, a 10K run, competitions, quizzes, exhibitions, activities for children, talks and lots more and attracts a lot of local activity and attention.
The Welwyn Festival not only brings the local community together, but it also raises money which is donated to local charities and used to improve facilities in the village such as Xmas decorations. Last year we donated about £8000 to local charities and causes.
The Festival Programme is a 64 page booklet with information about the activities of the festival week and the charities and also provides local businesses with the opportunity to advertise their services to the local community. This programme is delivered by hand to around 4,500 homes in the Welwyn Parish area. We also have advertising opportunities on the Festival website. The deadline for booking advertising space in the programme is 24 March 2017.
The Festival is also looking for business sponsors for several of the events for example sponsoring a category for the Welwyn Oscars, providing banners and several other contributions. Sponsors are recognised in the programme, on the Web site and get opportunities for publicity.
If you would be interested in either advertising or in sponsoring the Festival please send an email to publicity@welwynfestival.org.uk to let us know your interest and we will contact you with the necessary information.
