Number 1 Hatfield is a community resource centre with events, activities and advice to support and bring local people together. Pop in and see what we offer - and take a look at our regular weekly events.
Conveniently based at 1 Town Centre in Hatfield, Number 1 Community & Resources Centre offers a friendly and welcoming environment where you can have a hot drink, socialise, get on the internet and join in group activities. Feel free to drop in Monday to Thursday from 9am to 2pm.
Activities are varied and include art, music, knitting, sewing, crafts, cooking and even a job workshop. We’re keen to hear suggestions for activities from local people so that we truly reflect what the Welwyn Hatfield community need. If you would like to make a suggestion for an activity, just email number1hatfield@hotmail.co.uk.

What’s on?
Mondays:
- Toddler Art & Craft; 10am – 11am (£2.50 per family).
- Knit, Crochet & Craft Group; 11am – 12.30pm (Adults – free).
Tuesdays:
- Job Club Extra (CV and interview advice/support); 10am – 3pm.
Wednesdays:
- Baby & Toddler Music Group; 10am - 11am (£2 per family).
- Fab, Fun & Frugal! 10am – 12pm (free). Cooking on a budget – tasters, recipes and household tips.
Thursdays:
- Art Group; 10.30am – 12.30pm (free). Adults can draw and paint for fun!
- Conversation Café; 10am – 12.30pm (free). Informal conversation group for people who want to practise their English over a cup of coffee or tea. Parents with young children welcome; we have a children’s play corner!
