Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days. For some their Special Day is the opportunity to return some normality to their lives. For others it is the last chance to fulfil a dream.
Jackie had her Special Day last year after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She told us:
“Willow changes lives, not just days. 2014 wasn’t the year that tried to take my life away. It was the year, thanks to Willow, that I got my life back.”
By supporting Willow you can help us change more lives, like Jackie's, by making more Special Days a reality.
To date, Willow has provided more than 11,500 Special Days for young adults diagnosed with a life-threatening condition such as cancer, motor neurone disease, cystic fibrosis and Huntington’s disease.
Based in Welwyn Garden City, we’re always looking for more volunteers, fundraisers and challengers to join Team Willow www.willowfoundation.org.uk/support-willow/fundraising.
Please do get in touch to find out more about our services or what you can do to help create more Special Days. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper and TV presenter, Bob Wilson and his wife, Megs, Willow is a lasting memorial to their daughter, Anna, who died of cancer aged 31. Anna’s love of life and the enriching experiences of her own Special Days were the charity’s inspiration.
Willow is totally reliant on the generosity of individuals, companies, trusts and foundations to fund its work. We're always looking for high quality stock for our shop in Welwyn Garden City so please donate items if and when you can.
