Hyndberry is a new catering company set up by Catriona Staddon, former chef and proprietor of Marynka in Linlithgow. The company buys fresh ingredients from local producers and cooks to order for private and corporate events, and for ready-cooked dishes to reheat at home - ie. ready meals. In addition to catering, Catriona offers lessons in basic cooking skills. Check out:
From simple sandwiches to fabulous feasts, Hyndberry caters for all sorts of events:
private:
corporate:
Each event is unique and receives the best personal attention.
The ready-meals delivery service offers:
delicious seasonal meals in single and multi-portion sizes which are ordered through the website and delivered every week to customers within the Edinburgh and Lothian area. Enjoy some lovely local food even if you can't/won't cook it yourself!
The seasonal menus offer a mix of traditional and contemporary dishes. Both the event catering and ready-meals service support special diets, eg. vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy free.
The company kitchen is located in Deans, Livingston, and provides its services throughout Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders. Hyndberry uses the top quality ingredients being grown/produced on our doorstep. This brings the best in flavour and quality, keeps food miles to a minimum and supports the local economy - something that benefits us all!
Home based Cookery Lessons
Over recent years there has been a widespread loss of cooking skills in the home. Hyndberry aims to address this in a small way by offering lessons in basic cooking skills in customers' own kitchens using whatever equipment and utensils are there.
Lessons can be tailored to cover special areas of interest.
Hyndberry Gift Vouchers are available for ready meals and cookery lessons.

Simply fantastic food and friendly service. Linlithgow's harvest feast was a fine example. 200 people fed all with local produce. Catriona is keen to get involved in local food projects.
