From March 4, Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service (Freewheelers EVS), which transports medical supplies to hospitals in Somerset, will host events every Friday at Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll.
Allan Roberts, one of the charity’s volunteers who is arranging the events, said: “We had such a good response from customers at Sanders Garden World when we hosted car boot sales last year that we have decided to hold them again this year.
“They will take place every Friday, weather permitting, from 10am until approximately 3pm until November. We are organising the car boot sales to help raise vital money for Freewheelers EVS. Entry to the public is free but we hope those who attend will make donations to the charity.
“We’re very grateful to the garden centre for letting us have the space to host these events.”
Freewheelers EVS, founded in 1991, is a registered charity that transports items on specially adapted motorcycles, which are equipped with blue lights and sirens for emergency use, from hospital to hospital in Somerset and beyond.
Allan added: “For people wishing to sell their goods it will cost £5 per car for two tables, £7 per car for four tables or £10 per large van. The event is not for market stallholders or for anyone who wishes to sell weapons, plants or fake or imitation items.”
The next car boot sale will take place at Sanders Garden World, which is located just off junction 22 of the M5 at Brent Knoll, on Friday, March 4 from 10am until approximately 3pm. The car boot sales will continue to take place every Friday from 10am until approximately 3pm until November (2011).
