Search for community VIP to launch restaurant
Joint Managing Director of the family-run restaurant, Chris Sanders said: “The official launch of our new restaurant is extremely important. We’re searching for someone special to be our VIP and to help us with the ribbon cutting ceremony.
”We’re looking for nominations from people in the area for someone who has contributed in a big way to the community or who has overcome adversity and has exhibited some amazing qualities.
“Whoever is selected will be treated as our VIP on the launch day and will be invited to have lunch on us after they have cut the ribbon.”
Nominations are requested by email to info@imperialbrasserie.co.uk. People should give details of who they wish to nominate and why.
All emails must include clear contact details of the nominator and nominee with their postal address and telephone number.
By entering and being entered for the competition, the nominator and winner have agreed to take part in publicity. All the entries will be put into a hat and the first one pulled out at random will be invited to be the VIP for the restaurant launch on Wednesday, April 20 at 11am.
The closing date for nominations is Friday, April 15, 2011 at 5pm and the winning nominator and nominee will be notified on Monday, April 18 by telephone.
The winning individual and their nominator will be invited to The Imperial on Wednesday, April 20 at 11am to help officially declare the new restaurant open and will also be awarded lunch for four people, including themselves and their nominator, in the brasserie on the day.
The Imperial started out as a Regency coach house before becoming an inn and then a hotel. “The makeover has cost us hundreds of thousands of pounds and the building has really been brought into the 21st century with regards new décor, furnishings, kitchen and toilets.”
Chris and Mike, who used to own the Queens Arms in Bleadon, began work on the building’s revamp almost immediately after buying the property in September, 2010. The Imperial, which measures 650 square metres in size, will seat 150 people and provide work for more than 25 staff.
