Folky folks will be brushing off their sandals and combing out their bushy beards for the upcoming Wigan Words Festival this April, which features folk stars from yesteryear.
The event, at Wigan Parish Church, will star Ashley Hutchings, founder member of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and the Albion Band.
He will be joined by fellow band member Ken Nicol, the lead guitarist in Steeleye Span and folk singer-songwriter Becky Mills.
The trio will perform a unique mixture of poetry, prose and song.
The Wigan Words Festival is now in its seventh year.
