A HOUSEBUILDER has donated £1,000 to a Bramhall primary school to ensure its pupils are kitted out for sport.
Redrow Homes, which is creating the new Woodford Garden Village development, provided the funds to the Moss Hey Primary School Parent Teacher Association, which was used to purchase two sets of kit in different colours.
Elise Messham, the head teacher at Moss Hey Primary School, said: “Our focus this year is on being active and encouraging our children to participate in sports and activities, and provide opportunities for the children to get involved in sports that they may not have previously experienced.

“Thanks to the generous donation from Redrow, the children have a brand new sports kit to wear when competing in team sports with other local schools.”
Anna Evans-Kerr, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), said: “Moss Hey Primary is very close to our Woodford Garden Village development, with some pupils from the school living on the development.
“Our vision for Woodford is to create a community where all residents can enjoy sports and recreational activities on their doorstep, so we were delighted to be able to fund the new kits and help a local school achieve its goal of encouraging physical activity among the children.”
Redrow has gifted more than £15,000 to projects close to its flagship Woodford Garden Village development. The voluntary fund is in addition to more than £9.6 million of community investment associated with the new neighbourhood, which will eventually comprise more than 900 new homes across 205 hectares.
