Following their very recent other successes, local Wimbledon-based company Anderson Food Hygiene has once again struck GOLD by winning the accolade COMPANY OF THE YEAR at the prestigious 7th annual Society of Food & Hygiene (SOFHT) Awards 2011 which, this year, were held at the Landmark Hotel, Marylebone Road, London.
The SOFHT Awards recognises and celebrates the excellence within the food industry and its associated industries. The Awards were judged by a panel of experienced food industry professionals from the Society’s membership.

Being a finalist in this category for the 2nd year running is a wonderful achievement for Managing Director Sylvia Anderson. Sylvia works tirelessly to find novel and innovative ways to deliver Food Safety and Health & Safety training to ensure it continues to be interesting. This is recognised by the achievement of her students on a weekly basis and their client base which continues to grow as a result of Sylvia’s hands-on approach and exceptional training capability recognised by both her peers in the Industry and her trainees.

Anderson Food Hygiene was also an award winner in the local Merton Business Awards 2011 in association with WSM Advisors Ltd and developed by South London Business, Merton Council and Merton Chamber of Commerce, in order to reward and celebrate the many dynamic and innovative businesses in the borough.
Anderson Food Hygiene was the Runner-Up and achieved the Highly Commended status for the Best Business for Training & Development. This recognition is a fantastic achievement in the local community.
Anderson Food Hygiene also won the Best Training Company in the UK Award in November 2010 at the Society of Food Hygiene and Technology Awards
Founded in 2003 by Sylvia Anderson, her company Anderson Food Hygiene works with many top establishments including, Caprice Holdings Ltd, Warren House, The Royal Wimbledon Golf Club, Hammersmith and West London College, The Lensbury, Cannizaro House, Wholefoods Fresh and Wild.
Sylvia is dedicated to providing the highest standards of food hygiene training, and her standards permeate the company ethos, amply demonstrated by a 98% pass rate from all trainees over the last 3 years. “My vocation has always been in training and I had dreamed of one day running a successful training company. Juggling my roles as a mother of three year old twins, and managing director of Anderson Food Hygiene, it has been hard work, but I feel as though my efforts have been rewarded and I am very proud and delighted.“
