Looking for a fun and engaging way to get fit? Whilst many pound the treadmills, thousands of people are getting into two of the most popular racquet games around - Squash and Badminton.
Both games have been around for centuries in various different forms and names, yet still prove to be popular. Where we aren't always lucky with the weather in England, we can always rely on an indoor squash or badminton court. Maybe the weather is the reason that we love the sports so much!
Don't be fooled by the games, though - both are high intensity and burn hundreds of calories whilst demanding excellent balance and core strength. Here are some other reasons why squash and badminton are great for fitness and prove to be so popular:
Squash
Badminton
Luckily for us, we live right next to Wimbledon Racquets & Fitness Club who specialise in the two sports. With 6 squash courts and 7 badminton courts, they have plenty of space and knowledge of both games. With free parking and being on 5 minutes away from Wimbledon train station, there's no better location for it!
Interested? Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness Club are holding a badminton beginners course starting 29th April, contact them now to book your place.
Join the club now to receive full annual membership for less than £1 per day, and off peak membership for only £20 a month!
