In September 2011 NHS South West London and St. Mary’s University College officially launched the LiveWell Sutton and Merton Project. LiveWell Sutton and Merton is a free health improvement service that is available to anyone over the age of 18 who lives and/or works in Sutton and Merton. It is the first project of its kind to be launched in England.
LiveWell supports individuals to live well by providing a free one-to-one session with a trained Health Advisor. The Advisor will help an individual to set and achieve their own personal and achievable goals surrounding healthy eating, physical activity, weight management or managing alcohol intake, and will continue to support a participant as they work towards achieving their goals.
LiveWell Sutton and Merton can also direct participants to local activities and events that suit their interests, as well as providing access to local specialist services, and access to up to date health information and advice.
Here are some of the things that previous LiveWell participants have said about the service:
"After a long time of feeling down, unhealthy and unmotivated to live a healthy lifestyle, LiveWell came to the rescue. After speaking to the friendly and supporting staff, I now have the willpower to carry on with my rock climbing hobby, reach my targets, and be-come much healthier and happy in myself."
“After working with LiveWell I have found that I look and feel a lot healthier, just from making a few small changes to my life!”
“The quest to live well requires dedication and application, both of which have been demonstrated by the LiveWell team particularly when I have fallen by the wayside!”
If you think you and your colleagues would benefit from the LiveWell service, perhaps you would be interested in hosting a free LiveWell clinic at your workplace?
Alternatively you may wish to make an individual appointment at one of our frequent clinics based across both Sutton and Merton?
