Hyde900 believes that – as the final resting place of two major Anglo-Saxon Kings – the Hyde Abbey precincts are a site of national historic significance. We believe that they need enhanced interpretation through an infrastructure of information and explanation both in concrete and digital media.
Hyde900 has ambitious plans to work with its partners locally to interpret and bring back to life the site of the abbey in which King Alfred the Great was buried in 1110.
