We offer support with communication, reading and writing where desired, and varied activities, including art, music, exercise, computing, and of course a cup of tea! We also have visiting speakers, outings to interesting places,
and a Christmas lunch.
We would welcome new members.

Our volunteers have wide experience in helping people who have had strokes. They are all CRB-checked and the majority have received training from The Stroke Association and Speech and Language Therapists at the RHCH. Several volunteers have themselves had strokes.
Activities focus on maintaining the physical and mental level already reached by members and, where possible, encouraging further improvement. Emphasis is placed on the active participation of members in discussion groups, arts and crafts, keep fit, computing, reading, writing or communication by any means possible, outings, music and talks on interesting subjects.
