The picturesque little Post Office in Windsor Great Park is about 3 miles from the centre of Windsor travelling by foot, cycle or horse (or in Bertie's case by bag).
We chose to walk down one side of the Great Park and cross the main road into the village and return via the Long Walk. Aptly named after walking 3.5 miles already!
You can't enter by car unless you live in the village or have business there.
Not that you need any excuse to enjoy the beautiful Windsor Great Park, we decided that as it was warm and sunny we would take Sidney thebestof Windsor dog and Bertie for a walk and an ice-cream reward (for us).
The Post Office is a welcome sight for anyone who has made it into the village from the surrounding countryside in any direction. Time to relax in the sunshine with a cup of tea - or in my case a wonderful cappuccino - and enjoy an ice-cream.
We've not decided where to visit for the rest of the week - give us your recommendations of great local businesses and Bertie may turn up to see them!
