I'm so glad I didn't skive tonight's teachings at The Theatre Royal Windsor. What really goes on behind the (locked) doors of a classroom is something that rapidly unravelled in tonight's performance.
Sexual uncertainty, a student-teacher fling, blend these in with songs that'll make you clap to the beat and you've got yourself a great play.
How they made an all-french song funny without me understanding the words is something pretty special.
My favourite character was Posner played by Hollyoaks' Steven Roberts, some of the lines he came out with tonight certainly struck a few chords with the whole audience.
Combining history with humour this West End production will be among my favourites list.
The History Boys will be leaving sixth-form soon so make sure you don't miss them! Book your tickets online now
