The inquest into the death of Boris Berezovsky, a Russian tycoon who lived in Ascot after being granted political asylum here in 2003, started at Windsor Guildhall today.
In 2012 he lost a costly legal battle with Roman Abramovich, the Chelsea FC owner, and his bodyguard today commented that he was 'very low' in the months before his death*.
Boris, 67, was found in his home on the floor of his bathroom with a ligature around his neck and Police confirmed that the cause of death was "consistent with hanging", but it is of course the inquest's task to determine this.
The inquest is due to be completed within 2 days so Windsor has a new type of tourist in the guise of journalists, photographers and film crews.
These have been waiting to see who has been speaking at the inquest today and are hoping to get a picture or interview with some of the family members.
