Claire House Children's Hospice Charitable Organisation Appealing to Wirral for their support.

WHERE QUALITY OF LIFE IS PRECIOUS

Claire House cares for children and young people from across Wirral and beyond, offering respite, counselling and bereavement care to them and their families. The hospice relies on fundraising to support its work, with a yearly fundraising target of over £2.7million.

Claire House, a local Charitable Organisation, provides respite, palliative and terminal care to over 230 very ill children and their families, whose ages range from birth to 23 years.

As a charitable organisation, the Hospice has a specialised Care Team and excellent facilities including a multi-sensory room, hydrotherapy pool, and arts and crafts room. They provide care via physiotherapy and music therapy and there is a fully equipped computer room. It is a place where the whole family can stay in a home from home friendly-environment to enjoy quality time.

This charitable organisation has built a new Teenage Annex to provide the best possible environment for the young adolescents who come to stay at Claire House and help them to remain as independent for as long as possible and to enjoy their own space.

As a charitable organisation, Claire House does not receive any Government or NHS funding and needs £2.5million a year to meet its costs. It welcomes support from Wirral to be able to continue providing the quality care the families and children need.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

There are so many ways to help Claire House:

ORGANISE A FUNDRAISER.

Whether it’s a fancy dress day in the office, a pub quiz at your local or a ‘Come Dine With Me’ style dinner at home; everyone can think of a fun way of getting together with friends and raising money. Don’t forget – every little really does help.

VOLUNTEER WITH US.

There is always a need at Claire House for volunteers. There are opportunities in our fundraising, hospice and retail teams. Not only is it a great way to give something back and meet new people but it’s a chance to utilise your skills and enhance your CV.

DONATE TO OUR SHOPS

Our 23 charity shops are desperate for stock. Any good quality unwanted items of clothing, bric a brac, electricals or furniture can be dropped off in store or collected from your residence/ place of work.
