The Hibre Islands are a designated Local Nature Reserve consisting of three islands (Little Eye, Middle Eye and Hilbre) situated in the Dee Estuary off the coast of West Kirby. Hilbre Island, the largest of the three, is the only inhabited island.
Access to the islands is free of charge, but groups of six or more require a permit in advance. Permits can be obtained from the Dee Lane slipway.
