Jo is also a trained teacher, and delivers courses in anatomy, physiology, massage, first aid and Polarity Therapy for a variety of prestige colleges in the UK.
Sattvic Bliss now offers regular treatment clinics in Woking, Guildford and Looe (Cornwall), and a mobile service so you can benefit from Jo’s complementary therapies in your own home.
Polarity Therapy & Polarity Yoga
Polarity Therapy is a versatile complementary therapy that combines with other treatments to create an effective but gentle change in body tension, which can relieve pain and allow the body to find a way to repair its own problems. It includes an evaluation, energy-based bodywork, exercises, and nutritional understanding.
Tying in with Polarity Therapy is Polarity Yoga, which is a gentle form of yoga that focuses on relaxation and improving overall well-being. Breathing exercises and meditation form a large part of each session, which are aimed at normal people rather than yoga experts.
Lifestyle Counselling
Sometimes life just doesn’t work out the way that you hoped. At those times, it is easy to feel lost, trapped and confused; all at the same time. Counselling can help you to move forward and plan a better future.
Unlike traditional talking-based counselling, Lifestyle Counselling from Sattvic Bliss is more holistic and can involve any or all of:
Talking space Common sense Ayurvedic lifestyle Nutrition |
Yoga postures and meditation Polarity Therapy Financial planning
|
Jo has over 30 years experience as a therapist and teacher, and through Lifestyle Counselling she can help you evaluate the problems facing you, and develop the strength and mindset to overcome them.
Ayurveda & Ayurvedic Massage
Ayurveda is an ancient medical system still used by over 1 billion people across India today.
It emphasizes balance in all areas of your life, so during a consultation Jo will not only examine your body, but will ask questions about your daily diet, working conditions, exercise routines, relationships, and mental health.
She will then offer a number of recommendations which can cover diet, lifestyle changes, and the use of herbs to improve overall health. Often, Ayurvedic massage will be part of the process. This special technique increases circulation, stimulates the lymphatic system, and opens the flow of life force in order to cleanse and revitalize the body.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary therapy, based on the principle that each part of the body has a corresponding reflex point on the foot. By massaging these reflex points, energy is encouraged to move along nerve channels, which helps to restore balance in the whole body.
Reflexology is a convenient treatment suitable for all ages. It can bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including:
Back Pain Breathing Disorders Digestive Problems Fertility issues Hormonal Imbalances Joint Pain |
Mental Health Issues Migraines Pregnancy Sleep disorders Sports Injuries Stress and Anxiety |
Stress, tension, injury and illness all take their toll on our body, mind and spirit. If you are looking for support for your health from a qualified, insured and experienced therapist, then call Jo at Sattvic Bliss today, or visit her website where you can book treatments online.
