City of Wolverhampton Council has granted planning approval for Catella APAM to deliver a new leisure hub at the Mander Centre that will be anchored by Superbowl UK’s new venue.
Wolverhampton is set to play host to a major urban sports international event this year after the council secured £390,000 from the West Midlands Combined Authority’s and HM Government’s Commonwealth Games Legacy Fund.
A £9 million pot of Commonwealth Games legacy cash is being made available for grassroots projects that will unite communities across the West Midlands and get local people more physically and mentally active.
