I went to see “the Most FANTASMAGORICAL stage musical in the history of everything” Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on the opening night at The Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton last night. It most certainly exceeded expectations and was truly a delight to see!

With flawless performances from the most talented cast and the star of the show Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Based on the story by Ian Flemming where by no super hero can compete with the magical, day saving triumphs of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang the car, the musical embraces a joyous family journey with sensational singing and dancing from the cast and company (and of course 10 dogs) leaving the audience grinning ear to ear. A standing ovation at the end of the opening night of Chitty, at The Grand Theatre, summed up how fantastic the show was.

Every Song and scene was filled with the most sensational props and costumes ... and yes, the car really does fly! No matter what your age this show is a MUST SEE at The Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton, you’ll laugh out loud at the performance of Nigel Garton and Richard Ashton playing Goran and Boris the secret spy’s who hilariously try to capture Chitty for the Barons Birthday. And, your heart will melt at the simply stunning performances by 11 year old’s Jessica Little (Jemima Potts) and Gavin Wood (Jeremy Potts).

A ‘Truly Scruptious’ show followed by drinks in The Grand Theatre’s brand new University of Wolverhampton Bar and a chatter to the wonderfully gifted cast members. What a superb way to spend a Wednesday evening.
