Neighbours star Stefan Dennis, X-Factor’s Niki Evans and Panto favourites The Krankies are to star in Wolverhampton Grand Theatre’s greatest Panto of them all – Cinderella from Saturday 12 December to Sunday 31 January 2010. They will also be joined by guest star Churchill – the icon of the insurance industry in his very first stage appearance “Oh Yes!”
Cast includes: Janette Tough (Buttons), Ian Tough (Barron Hardup), Danielle York (Cinderella), Niki Evans (The Fairy Godmother), Stefan Dennis (Dandini), Ben Stock (Ugly Sister), Nathan Kiely (Ugly Sister) and Nic Greenshields (Prince).
Heading the cast is Stefan Dennis as Dandini. Stefan is well known for playing the role of Paul Robinson in the Australian Soap Opera Neighbours. Stefan joined the original cast of Neighbours in 1985 and played Paul until 1992. He was invited to rejoin Neighbours for the 20th Anniversary of the show and has remained a regular character ever since. Stefan has also featured in UK television shows including Dream Team, River City, The Bill, and Casualty. He has appeared in numerous pantomimes and musicals including Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers as Micky, here in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Panto favourites The Krankies will be appearing as The Baron and Buttons. The husband and wife team have been performing UK Variety together for over 45 years with their Fan-dabi-dozi catchphrase known to millions. During the eighties they had numerous television shows including Crackerjack, Krankie Klub, Krankies Electronic Komik and KTV. After first visiting Australia in 1976 they now have a home there and have also had extensive appearances on Australian TV.
