Great Art in Wolverhampton inspired by British Art Show 9 Alignment, will see a series of four vibrant site-specific architectural scale neon rainbow wool installations, created utilising the existing infrastructure around Wolverhampton city centre. Making many connections to form vast symbols of hope and diversity. Join us for the public opening celebration of the first in the series, To Heaven and Back, by Offsite 9 commissioned artist Kathleen Fabre.
In collaboration, Flexus Youth Dance will perform Aligned live beneath the rainbow installation! 3:00pm - 3:30pm - 4:00pm Choreographed by Jade Barton, Flexus Dance Collective.
Offsite 9 project runs 22nd January 2022 - April 10th 2022.
Alignment, aims to introduce contemporary art to a wider audience through a series of 4 temporary public art installations on view for the duration of project, (weather permitting). QR code signs will be available at each site for further information to creativeblackcountry.co.uk Locations include;

The rainbow a symbol of hope, holds many interpretations, all positive. Each installation will act as a vibrant greeting to visitors, commuters, residents as they arrive into or walk around Wolverhampton city centre. The intention to capture the publics attention, to bring people together, to provoke questions and conversations between each other, and if only for a moment to make people smile and wonder.
