Simona has been writing since her childhood, in her native language, Romanian. Eleven years ago, she set up a new life adventure that began with learning English in her own. Today she is proud and happy to announce that some of her dearest English poems found a cosy home in a petite collection that would come out by 3rd February at Austin Macauley Publishers. The book is named “Carving Magic” as Simona sees all her living paths as magical twisting, despite reality struggles.

For 8 years now, Simona is living in UK where she enjoys her profession as a radiographer, and her writing as her biggest passion.

Her first traditional published poetry book, "Visarile dintre castani" (Daydreams among chestnut trees) came out in 2021 at Siono Publishing House, in Romania.

Her writings are posted online on Spillwords Press NYC, Harness Magazine, Gobblers & Masticadores, Webcultura, eCreator, Belgium Time and Masticadores Romania. Also, Simona is co-author in 3 poetry and short stories anthologies published in UK, 2 in Romania, and 6 in USA.

Being a woman, a mother, a Transylvanian, and an expat now, she is taking the sight to the personal life experience with a social writing touch. Born in a communist regime, Simona is seriously approaching the education, while keeping hope at the highest peaks. Through her work, she is trying to bring love and humanity.

She is a member of the World Jam, a worldwide poetry and music community based in Nottingham, where she discovered the joy of performing on stage as a poet.

In 2021, Simona performed with Poets Against Racism, being broadcasted in a special session on Hope Radio for Anti Racism Day. 

Spillwords Press New York awarded Simona as Author of the Month for September 2021, short after publishing her poem “I came from”. Today, Simona has more in her poetic portfolio, from Spillwords Press, a nomination for the Author of the Year 2021, amongst many nominations of her poems for the Publications of the Month, and a love poem being nominated for the Publication of the Year (Poetic) 2022.

Simona's most significant writing advocates and supporters are her sons who are pursuing their dreams while completing their PhD courses.

Cheerful, humble, and happy, Simona is ready to mark the releasing day of her precious poetry collection, by joining Wolverhampton artists at Wolverhampton Literature Festival.
