City of Wolverhampton Council will re-open its Shaw Road Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) next week.
The site will re-open seven days a week from 10am on Monday June 1.
The council has urged residents only to make essential trips to the HWRC, which means taking items that cannot be safely stored at home.
Residents have also been told not to visit the site if they, or members of their household, are showing any symptoms of coronavirus and that a strict social distancing policy will be in operation to ensure the safety of visitors and staff.
The council is reminding those who plan to visit Shaw Road HWRC:
Councillor Steve Evans, Cabinet Member for City Environment at City of Wolverhampton Council, said: “Like the re-opening of the Anchor Lane site, we expect Shaw Road HWRC to be busy. Residents can be assured that carefully planned traffic management and marshalling of vehicles, which has worked well at Anchor Lane, will be implemented at this site.
“We ask everyone to carefully follow the instructions as staff guide people through the site as safely and as quickly as possible. I’d like thank residents for their patience, co-operation and for keeping to the strict social distancing arrangements at recycling centres.”

Opening times for both HWRC sites are:
Monday: 10am - 6pm
Tuesday: 10am - 6pm
Wednesday: 10am - 6pm
Thursday: 10am to 8pm (late night opening)
Friday: 10am to 6pm
Saturday: 10am to 4pm
Sunday: 10am to 4pm
